After reading the original version of Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer ( yes a spelling mistake on GO chart was noticed - ugh), the boys shared their ideas on what the author was trying to teach us which we recorded. Rudolph first appeared in a 1939 booklet written by Robert L. May and published by Montgomery Ward. It was originally supposed to be a coloring book. The children then wrote a letter to the bullies giving them advice on how to become a buddy and not a bully. "Do they really fly Ms. Rice ?" was asked by a few and I defltly side stepped that one . |
