The children worked on this multi step problem for numerous days . They are finally done! YAY! Each child picked a monster from my bucket of bendable monsters and then wrote a detail description of their monster. Once this was done they decided whether wanted to count ( hair, fangs, socks etc.). They rolled a dice and developed their math sentence & explained their answer showing their work with their circle and stars to reflect their understanding. Once the math was completed the children wrte their simple math problem incorporating all these components and had to use an interesting 'spooking' setting they also had to create.
