Using our animal eyes silently is challenging for some. So many times we provide a narrative to what we are seeing pulling our attention off the object and experience. So, we asked the children to do two exercises 1)Carefully look at a leaf quietly noticing it and what thoughts or feelings they had about the leave or this activity.
2) We asked the children to keep their animal eyes on the feather as they tried to gently blow it up and keep it in the air. We also asked them to notice their breath and how it impacted the feather. Again silently.
