One Sided Sid and his sister, you may recall are two UNthinkables that make us rigid and only talk, think or wonder about our personal preferred topics. This lack of flexibility in thinking can impact many areas of learning and relating to others. |

In this lesson the children were given a small piece of plastic wrap and tissue paper to investigate. Then, Mrs. Cooper and I modeled a brain made of two materials ( plastic wrap and tissue paper). We asked children to place items onto our brains one at a time, what they thought would happen and WHY. Naturally the plastic wrap could stretch, be more flexible and hold more items before ripping. We were able to explain that a flexible brain was able to 'think' and hold multiple items. Unlike the tissue paper that ripped quickly. We now have a working definition for flexible and rigid developing. | |
