The children learned they needed to draw both sides of their buttons, measure them as many looked the same but were different sizes, look more carefully at the details like the ridges, bumps etc & label their pictures with what they notice.
Can the children find the buttons they carefully observed the day before from a wider range of buttons put before them? Did they take careful notes? What else would have been helpful? This lesson was about how much information we need to note, draw and include in our observations to use or share with other scientists.
